About the position

The Specialty Operator is responsible for the production of specialty sugars, which involves various processes such as blending, evaporation, crystallization, drying, conditioning, milling, and screening. This role requires maintaining equipment, performing analytical testing, and ensuring sanitation standards are met while coordinating with other personnel to achieve safety, quality, production, and energy use goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform blending, evaporation, crystallization, drying, conditioning, milling, and screening of specialty sugar products.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in the production process.
• Conduct analytical testing to ensure product specifications are met.
• Operate control instrumentation for production processes.
• Maintain proper levels of sanitation in the production area.
• Coordinate activities with other personnel to meet safety and quality expectations.
• Document production processes and maintain written records.

Requirements

• Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing facility or related environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Experience operating packaging equipment (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
