About the position

The Technician position at Baptist Health South Florida involves following well-defined instructions to receive and fill medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role requires mastery of various pharmacy technician duties, including prescription triage, order entry, and customer service, while ensuring the organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage prescriptions
• Perform order entry and third-party adjudication
• Fill and label medications
• Facilitate prior authorizations and patient assistance resources
• Complete point-of-sale transactions
• Schedule deliveries
• Answer the telephone and direct calls to appropriate staff
• Procure and receive Rx/OTC inventory
• Replenish stock and supplies
• Maintain general pharmacy organization and cleanliness
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Perform scheduling and advance automation/technical responsibilities

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Registered Pharmacy Technician certification
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician certification
• Currently registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida
• Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification, or Florida Pharmacy Intern License

Nice-to-haves

• Specialty Pharmacy experience
• Outpatient Oncology Pharmacy experience
• Internship training hours in pharmacy
