About the position

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician 3 will work in an outpatient specialty pharmacy setting, providing essential support in medication management under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves receiving and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service while adhering to pharmacy regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage prescriptions
• Perform order entry and third-party adjudication
• Fill and label medications accurately
• Facilitate prior authorizations and patient assistance resources
• Complete point-of-sale transactions
• Schedule deliveries and manage inventory procurement
• Answer telephone calls and direct them to appropriate staff
• Maintain general pharmacy organization and cleanliness
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Perform scheduling and advanced automation/technical responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Registered Pharmacy Technician License
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Oncology Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
• Specialty Pharmacy/Outpatient Oncology Pharmacy experience preferred
• Currently registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida
• Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification, or Florida Pharmacy Intern License
