About the position
The Specialty Pharmacist position at CPS Solutions, LLC, located in Glens Falls, NY, is a per diem role responsible for ensuring the accurate filling of medication orders, checking technician-prepared products, maintaining pharmacy security, and assisting in training new staff. The pharmacist will also update the Director on daily pharmacy activities and support the overall operations of the pharmacy. This role offers flexible scheduling, working up to 19 hours per week, with a pay range of $60-65 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Fill medication orders with accuracy.
- Check technician-prepared products before release.
- Maintain the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances.
- Enter orders and patient information accurately.
- Aid in the training of new staff members.
- Update the Director about daily activities of the pharmacy.
- Assist the Director in maintaining pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
- Current Pharmacist license in good standing in New York.
- 1-3 years of experience as a pharmacist.
- Ability to work independently and set priorities.
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting.
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
