About the position

The Specialty Pharmacy Business Analyst at Mass General Brigham plays a crucial role in supporting the operational and financial aspects of the Specialty Pharmacy. This position involves gathering and managing data for business operations, financial reporting, and accreditation support, with a focus on improving quality and safety in pharmacy practices while decreasing administrative burdens and patient financial toxicity. The analyst will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve performance objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and manage data required for business operation and planning.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports.
  • Support accreditation processes and prepare periodic reports for pharma companies and insurers.
  • Trend operational metrics and prepare and track budgets.
  • Assist with specialty drug procurement and reimbursement analysis.
  • Conduct 340B contract pharmacy reporting.
  • Respond to internal ad-hoc data and analytic requests.
  • Utilize analytical skills to evaluate data collected through task analysis of business processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams through oral and written mediums.
  • Collaborate as part of a functional work team to execute project requirements.
  • Maintain the security of sensitive company and client information.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of data/reporting experience in the pharmacy industry required.
  • Four (4) or more years of analytic experience in healthcare or pharmacy preferred.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy billing and claims processing.
  • Knowledge of 340B Drug Discount Program preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Informatics, or related field preferred.
  • High level expertise in Microsoft Office Suites required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Medicare Part B reimbursement.
