About the position

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician 2 will work in an outpatient specialty pharmacy setting, providing essential support in medication management under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including receiving and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The position is full-time with a structured schedule from 9 AM to 5:30 PM and offers a $4000 bonus for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage prescriptions
• Perform order entry and third-party adjudication
• Fill and label medications accurately
• Facilitate prior authorizations and patient assistance resources
• Complete point-of-sale transactions
• Schedule deliveries and manage inventory procurement
• Answer telephone calls and direct them to appropriate staff
• Maintain general pharmacy organization and cleanliness
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Perform scheduling and advanced automation/technical responsibilities

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Specialty Pharmacy/Outpatient Oncology Pharmacy experience preferred
• Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification, or Florida Pharmacy Intern License

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Specialty Pharmacy or Outpatient Oncology Pharmacy
