About the position

The Specialty Polymers Account Manager is a remote position responsible for managing and selling a diverse product portfolio of specialty polymers across various market segments. This role involves significant travel, approximately 50% throughout North America, to engage with clients and drive sales in industries such as automotive, packaging, and energy.

Responsibilities

  • Sell a product portfolio of specialty polymers including copolymers, terpolymers, grafted polyolefins, EVA, seal-peel resins, ionomer, and various types of polyethylene.
  • Engage with clients in multiple market segments including industrial, automotive, packaging, energy, hot melts, compounds, wire & cable, and coatings & dispersions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance.

Requirements

  • Masters or PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymers, Material Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience within specialty polymers or plastics.
  • Prior experience in technical roles such as Chemist, R&D, or Technical Service & Development is ideal.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
