About the position

The Specialty Representative for Gastroenterology at AbbVie is a field-based sales role focused on executing brand strategies and managing assigned territories to maximize sales performance. Responsibilities

  • Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to drive sales performance.
  • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts effectively.
  • Build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize sales performance.
  • Deliver on sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets.
  • Create and execute pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations.
  • Handle objections and concerns to close sales calls effectively.
  • Develop and execute call plans to achieve set metrics and optimize customer coverage.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, and competitive dynamics.
  • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition and maintain relationships with disease state experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales with strong presentation skills.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in business tools.
  • Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style and behavior.
  • Experience operating effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills to maximize business opportunities.
  • Ability to influence others and build collaborative partnerships.
