About the position

The Style Consultant at Target is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience through strong operational skills and a passion for style. This role involves engaging with guests, maintaining product availability, and executing visual merchandising standards to enhance the shopping environment. The Style Consultant plays a key role in supporting the store's sales goals and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Gain knowledge from store tools to have a clear understanding of key metrics, sales goals, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure product availability by keeping the salesfloor replenished and organized.
  • Create an inviting shopping environment by staying current on trends and executing visual standards.
  • Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome and inspire guests.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store.
  • Acknowledge guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
  • Support changes to product assortment and maintain an inspiring area for guests.
  • Ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed for guests.
  • Execute revisions, sales plans, and planograms for defined categories.
  • Conduct weekly price change workload for defined categories.
  • Complete Radio Frequency ID (RFID) scans and system audit functions.
  • Accurately execute backroom fills and maintain organization of backroom aisles.
  • Prioritize guest interaction while balancing tasks.
  • Solve for guest needs using available tools like myCheckout or the Target App.
  • Thank the guest genuinely and remind them of future assistance availability.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

  • Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
