About the position

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader at Target, you will have the opportunity to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. You will lead a team of specialized consultants who prioritize guest experience while ensuring product availability and effective merchandising. Your role will involve building a guest-first culture, managing daily workloads, and developing team members' skills. You will also be responsible for executing sales goals, planning merchandising, and creating inspiring visual moments for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Model, train and coach team member expectations to deliver on our GUEST service model culture.
  • Understand sales goals, plan daily/weekly workload, and execute to deliver on department and store sales goals.
  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants knowledgeable about various departments.
  • Encourage team to use tools available in their department to enhance guest experience.
  • Partner with third party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met.
  • Support team's execution of revisions, sales plans, and Visual Merchandising Guide.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
  • Address store needs and support compliance culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
