About the position

The Specification Writer at Eurofins is responsible for verifying and updating ingredient specification information, ensuring compliance with regulatory and food safety standards. This role involves collaboration with suppliers and subject matter experts to gather necessary data, correct discrepancies, and maintain accurate specifications in the system. The position supports R&D innovation by aligning ingredient specifications and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify ingredient specification information and corporate resources to update and publish ingredient specifications.
• Contact suppliers to gather regulatory and food safety data.
• Work with subject matter experts (SME) to compare existing data and update the specification system.
• Ensure specifications are approved by clients and accepted by suppliers before posting to the document management system.
• Support the update and alignment of ingredients for R&D Innovation purposes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to gather specific data needed for updating specifications.
• Provide status updates for ingredients to clients on a minimum of a weekly basis.

Requirements

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); active listening skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple assignments/tasks.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
• Flexible and creative; able to handle changing priorities and solve problems creatively under deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
