Responsibilities

• Providing a frictionless patient experience
• Accurate and timely order entry and collection process
• Collect and process laboratory specimens including oral, urine, and/or blood specimens
• Collect specimens according to established procedures
• Ensure accuracy of data entry and specimen collection
• Commitment to organizational process improvement efforts
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
• Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of laboratory specimens
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with clients and staff

Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver's license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
• Knowledge of specimen collection techniques and procedures
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new technology skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Commitment to infection prevention protocols and HIPAA compliance

Nice-to-haves

• Prior patient experience such as specimen collection, phlebotomist, medical assistant, or healthcare technician
• Certifications as may be required for specimen collection
