Provide specialized instruction to students in a self-contained instructional setting who have characteristics associated with autism and similar neurological disorders. Plan, develop, and implement individualized education plans. Provide instruction for a diverse group of learners with a focus on accessing the TEKs through hands on activity based instructional strategies that may target: daily living and self help skills, behavioral and social skills, occupational and physical therapy, speech and augmentative communication, and adaptive physical education. Provide for the self help needs of students with a variety of low incidence and/or multiple disabilities.
