The Speech Language Pathologist (PEDS) position is a relief role focused on providing specialized speech and language pathology services to pediatric patients in various healthcare settings. Responsibilities

• Provide speech/language pathology services to pediatric patients.
• Evaluate and treat feeding/swallowing disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and speech/language disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Supervise therapy interns and assist with educational research activities.
• Maintain documentation and productivity standards as per hospital requirements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and ensure patient welfare.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and valid Oregon State license.
• Knowledge of acute complex medical conditions and inpatient medical environments.
• Experience with video fluoroscopy and ability to respond to medical situations.
• Current American Heart BLS CPR certification.
• Compliance with Code of Conduct and applicable policies.
