About the position

The position involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages in the field of speech and language pathology. The role requires serving as a clinical resource for staff and students while ensuring the delivery of professional services. The clinician will collect comprehensive case history information, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients of all ages.
  • Serve as a role model in the delivery of professional services.
  • Collect case history information from patients, families, and relevant others.
  • Select and administer appropriate evaluation procedures to meet patient needs.
  • Conduct assessment procedures for speech and language pathology.
  • Develop and implement a setting-appropriate plan of care with measurable goals.
  • Collaborate with patients and relevant others in the planning process.
  • Interpret and synthesize information to develop treatment plans.
  • Evaluate and implement intervention plans to improve functional and emotional needs.
  • Utilize standardized outcomes measures and testing for accurate performance reflection.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process.

Requirements

  • Experience in speech and language pathology.
  • Ability to evaluate and treat patients effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with patients and families.
  • Knowledge of assessment procedures and treatment planning.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
