About the position

The Speech Language Pathologist at AdventHealth Castle Rock is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with various speech and language disorders. This role involves evaluating patients, applying diagnostic tests, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote optimal health and well-being. The position emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and aligns with the organization's mission of holistic healing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred to speech therapy by completing initial profiles within time standards per department protocol.
• Apply appropriate diagnostic and prognostic tests including dysphagia, aphasia, language, voice, speech, and cognitive deficits.
• Conduct standardized testing to determine levels of disability and track outcomes throughout the patient care experience.
• Perform a variety of therapeutic interventions including swallowing, voice, speech-language, and cognitive skills.

Requirements

• Master's degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
