About the position
The Speech Language Pathologist at Gersh Autism plays a crucial role in providing speech therapy support to children aged 5-21 on the autism spectrum. This position focuses on promoting optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities, collaborating with various disciplines, and modifying intervention programs based on clinical expertise and professional judgment.
Responsibilities
- Providing speech and language therapy, including evaluations and progress reports.
- Promoting optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities.
- Working with children who have autism.
- Using behavior management techniques.
- Consulting and collaborating with parents, school teachers, and colleagues.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
- TSSLD certification preferred.
- PROMPT Experience preferred.
