About the position

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living is responsible for providing personalized care to residents, focusing on their speech, language, swallowing, cognition, and voice therapy needs. This role involves working closely with residents throughout their continuum of care, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and fostering a holistic approach to support their physical, emotional, and clinical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Providing speech, language, swallowing, cognition, or voice therapy screenings, evaluations, treatments, and trainings to meet customer needs across the community continuum of care.
  • Following Federal, State, and all Payer guidelines, ASHA requirements, and company policies and procedures to ensure compliance in care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, and resident rights.
  • Implementing residents' personal care plans, focusing on their strengths, preferences, and routines while providing comfort and companionship.
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary clinical team to address the needs of residents throughout their care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with the older adult population related to therapies is preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Valid and current state Speech Language Pathologist license, with degree and training meeting current Medicare and state requirements.
