About the position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity in beautiful Wamego, KS. This is a PRN opening with tons of flexibility, working within a caring and supportive team at a facility that offers multiple apartment styles and a robust activities calendar to foster a kind and welcoming family-like community. The facility is a beautiful Assisted Living Facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
• Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
• Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans.
• Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
