About the position
The Stepping Stones Group is seeking passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide exceptional therapy services to students in schools. This full-time position is based in Jacksonville, NC, and involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy services to support students' communication needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide therapy services to students individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
