About the position

The University of Kentucky is seeking a full-time Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and treatment services for voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves working with a diverse patient population and requires a strong foundation in evidence-based voice intervention methods. The position also includes opportunities for clinical instruction and outreach to develop community partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and treatment services for voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct voice evaluations and rehabilitation using evidence-based methods.
  • Perform rigid and flexible endoscopy in adult and pediatric populations.
  • Assess and treat laryngeal dystonia, vocal tremor, and other voice disturbances.
  • Engage in outreach and extension to develop inter-professional community partnerships.
  • Mentor graduate speech pathology students, medical students, and residents.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology required.
  • Kentucky Speech-language Pathology (SLP) License and Registration, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) eligible.
  • No prior experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with videofluoroscopy/FEES and head & neck cancer is advantageous.
  • Interest in clinical instruction and mentorship.
