About the position

Concentra is seeking an orthopedic spine surgeon to join as an independent contractor, providing specialized services for work-related injuries. This role is designed to complement the surgeon's existing practice, with a commitment of approximately 4 hours per week or biweekly at the Concentra location. The surgeon will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to manage complex cases and facilitate patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic spine surgery services on site at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift weekly or biweekly.
• Collaborate with medical and therapy providers to manage medically complex patients.
• Communicate with employers regarding patient care and case management.
• Deliver both non-surgical and surgical treatments for work-related injuries.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work-related injuries.
• Licensure requirements of the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program from an accredited university.
• Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance that covers on-site services.
