About the position

The Split-Customer Service Associate/Assistant Property Manager at West Coast Self-Storage is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and managing property operations. The position involves guiding customers through the leasing process, meeting sales objectives, and maintaining the property to high standards. Ideal candidates will have retail sales and customer service experience and will be looking to grow within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Show available units and guide customers through the leasing process
  • Meet retail sales and occupancy objectives
  • Provide exceptional customer service including assessing customers' storage needs (in person, phone, and web inquiries)
  • Manage, audit, and balance cash drawer and petty cash
  • Perform general office tasks, e.g., filing, managing customer accounts, sorting mail/deliveries
  • Maintain property to West Coast's Clean & Operational standards, e.g., cleaning vacated units, sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs
  • Complete other duties assigned by leadership

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Retail Sales experience
  • Cash Management experience
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to self-manage while working independently
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in entry-level retail sales
  • Ability to work weekends and some holidays
