Candidates for this role must possess advanced training in medical interpretation, evidenced by completion of a 100-hour LANA training or a degree in medicine or nursing from the United States. Additionally, fluency in both English and Chinese Cantonese is required, with a preference for candidates who also speak Chinese Mandarin. The role also requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various locations within the MaineHealth system.

  • Documented medical interpreting experience.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese Cantonese, with a preference for Chinese Mandarin.
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Scheduling flexibility and willingness to work at multiple locations.
