About the position

The Sponsored Programs Coordinator at Oklahoma State University plays a crucial role in providing pre- and post-award support for all sponsored program activities and agreements within the Spears School of Business. This position involves assisting principal investigators with the financial and administrative management of sponsored awards and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the proposal development process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-award support for sponsored program activities and agreements.
  • Assist principal investigators with financial and general administration of sponsored awards/contracts.
  • Research and share funding opportunities with faculty, matching opportunities with their expertise.
  • Organize workshops to help faculty develop competitive proposals.
  • Advise faculty and staff in preparing proposal budgets, including indirect costs calculations.
  • Coordinate supporting proposal documentation with project personnel from other colleges or institutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of sponsors' programs, requirements, and systems for proposal development and submission.
  • Review, analyze, and negotiate award documents post-award.
  • Coordinate fiscal and contractual administration of sponsored projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Grants and Contracts Financial Administration and Research and Financial Services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Eight years of experience in sponsored programs administration or a closely related field.
  • Enhanced knowledge of grants and contracts regulations, budget development, and technical reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide training on proposal development and grant compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and federal/state regulations.
  • Strong analytical abilities and computer experience, particularly with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $50,000.00 - $58,000.00
  • Work schedule of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
