About the position

The SRCC Analyst position at the SDSU Research Foundation is integral to the Sponsored Research Contracting and Compliance team. The role involves reviewing, processing, and ensuring compliance for awards and subagreements related to sponsored programs. The analyst will collaborate closely with various departments to facilitate effective award negotiations and compliance adherence, contributing to the university's research objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, document, and process award agreements and prior authorizations to expend documents.
  • Draft and process subagreements and amendments for review and signature using approved templates.
  • Ensure that all relevant compliance is in place before finalizing awards and subagreements.
  • Assist the Director in reviewing and implementing procedures related to the processing of awards and preparation of subagreements.
  • Participate on committees and/or task force groups as needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of sufficient college coursework to successfully perform the required duties of the position.
  • Two years of progressively responsible related experience, with one year of full-time experience substitutable for college coursework requirement.
  • Experience in an institution of higher education, research institution, or non-profit organization, or related contract review experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working in sponsored programs related compliance, award review and processing, and subagreement preparation.
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulations and requirements.
  • Experience using software for research administration such as Banner, Etrieve, InfoEd, or other internal award tracking systems.
