About the position

The Sponsorship Account Executive is an entry-level position focused on securing and servicing corporate sponsorships for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. This role involves working closely with the Director of Sponsorship Sales and other team members to develop relationships with sponsors, execute sponsorship obligations, and enhance the overall customer experience. The position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to sponsors and fans alike.

Responsibilities

  • Secure and service new and renewal sponsorships for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sponsorship Sales to learn and support the sales process year-round.
  • Prospect for leads and make outgoing sales calls.
  • Set up face-to-face qualifying and proposal meetings.
  • Adhere to the Quakes sales process, core values, and service plan.
  • Create and maintain solid relationships with new and existing sponsors.
  • Lead the execution and service of all accounts where you are a lead representative.
  • Plan and execute elements needed to fulfill sponsorship obligations.
  • Maintain an accurate database of all communication made to prospects and current accounts using SCORE CRM.
  • Build new proposal and renewal proposals using Digideck.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new sponsorship ideas.
  • Research and observe to improve the sponsorship show.
  • Provide high-quality customer service according to Quakes priorities.
  • Represent the Quakes professionally and maintain the Quakes look.
  • Participate in local community events to network with businesspeople.
  • Communicate details of internal and external planning with the Quakes staff.
  • Assist with the execution and development of the show during the season, including stadium setup and promotions.
  • Follow up monthly with all sponsor accounts where you are the lead or supporting representative.
  • Offer sponsors Dodgers tickets to one game each season.
  • Communicate logistics of activations to the Sponsorship Department four weeks in advance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of sponsor tickets prior to events.
  • Service sponsors at the stadium on game days and solve any arising issues.
  • Gather year-end wrap-up book materials for sponsorship accounts.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with sponsors and team members.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with sponsors.
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably SCORE CRM.
  • Proficiency in presentation tools, preferably Digideck.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of sports marketing and sponsorships.
  • Familiarity with event planning and execution.
