About the position

Iowa's News Now is seeking a full-time Sports Anchor/Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) who will be responsible for anchoring, reporting, producing, and shooting/editing video for daily sports segments. The role requires engaging with the digital audience through social media and delivering dynamic live television segments. Strong writing skills and knowledge of current sporting events are essential, along with the ability to tell compelling stories and maintain an active social media presence.

Responsibilities

• Anchor daily sports segments for broadcast.
• Report on sports news and events.
• Produce and shoot/edit video content for sports segments.
• Engage with the digital audience through social media posts.
• Collaborate with news managers on various assignments.

Requirements

• Previous anchoring experience is required.
• At least 2 years of on-air experience in anchoring/reporting.
• Live shot experience is required.
• Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong writing skills and knowledge of current sporting events.
