About the position

The Sports Facility Location Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a sports park, ensuring that all facilities and grounds are well-maintained and ready for events. This role involves managing various aspects of the park, coordinating with the operations team, and fostering teamwork among staff. The position offers an opportunity for growth within a reputable organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and drive Facilities and Landscape Crews to meet deadlines for tournaments, rentals, and events.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safety-oriented environment.
• Manage a calendar of interscholastic and community events, rentals, and programming.
• Coordinate services to support all events held at the park.
• Implement a maintenance schedule for synthetic turf, landscape, and hardscape areas.
• Research and study methods to enhance the aesthetics of the park.
• Develop efficiency plans for operations inside and outside the park.
• Implement safety policies and procedures specific to landscape maintenance.
• Set up and oversee training briefs for landscape and maintenance staff.
• Support the team in preparing and maintaining playing fields for events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills and adherence to service standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred experience in sports playing surface and/or field management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sports facility management or related fields.
