About the position

The Sports & Healthy Living Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Tulsa is responsible for supporting the Sports & Healthy Living departments by delivering quality programming and enhancing customer service and member retention. This role involves managing various fitness and sports programs, ensuring member satisfaction, and overseeing program staff under the supervision of the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating program staff.
  • Provide outstanding hospitality to all members and guests.
  • Manage programs to maximize member satisfaction, revenue, and compliance with YMCA standards.
  • Develop and track departmental budget in accordance with branch and Association guidelines.
  • Research and facilitate quality programs that provide member satisfaction.
  • Set annual priority objectives to improve service based on staff and customer feedback.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all Healthy Living & Sports staff.
  • Track and ensure that staff certifications are current and on file.
  • Assist in scheduling, maintenance, and management of facility and equipment.
  • Execute administrative duties including tracking, reports, schedules, equipment, supplies, and payroll.
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in training sessions and meetings.
  • Know branch emergency procedures and take appropriate action in emergencies.
  • Support community and promotional special events as needed.
  • Serve as branch Cause Driven Leader on Duty, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; College coursework preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen Administration Certifications (will be provided upon employment).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
  • Ability to work with participants of varying experience and skill levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
