About the position

This PRN position involves providing outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy services primarily to a pediatric population, ranging from school age through young adulthood. The role requires the ability to independently manage the complete continuum of professional services, including patient access, evaluations, program planning, and treatment, while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Fill vacancies at various clinics across the valley.
• Provide outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy services to a pediatric population.
• Perform evaluations and program planning for patients.
• Administer treatment using various techniques such as exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, and joint mobilization.
• Demonstrate understanding of billing and coding practices for outpatient services.
• Manage the complete continuum of professional services from patient access to coding and billing.

Requirements

• BS or higher degree from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• 2 years of experience in a sports/orthopedic physical therapy setting.
• 2 years of experience treating, coaching, or teaching ages 7-18.
• Possess a current Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy license prior to start date.
• Possess American Heart Association's BLS certification prior to start date.
• Holds or is eligible to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) prior to start date.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of athletic experience as a player, coach, or official.
• Possess AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card prior to start date.
• Certified Clinical Specialist (SCS, OCS), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
• Dry Needling Certification.
• Tool Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization Certification.
• Kinesiology or Specialty Taping Certification.
