About the position
The Sports Rehabilitation Technician at Elite Performance Chiropractic is a full-time role focused on assisting the main doctor in providing personalized chiropractic solutions and rehabilitation services to patients. The position emphasizes a high-energy, positive, and team-oriented approach to patient care, ensuring a rejuvenating experience for each individual. The technician will engage in various therapeutic practices and support the clinic's marketing efforts through community events.
Responsibilities
- Assist the main doctor throughout the treatment process including patient intake and therapeutic exercises.
- Conduct stretching and mobility exercises, postural and movement analysis, and soft-tissue work.
- Apply heat/cold treatments and set up patients for electrical stimulation, ultrasound, intersegmental traction, and decompression therapy.
- Participate in marketing events, including health fairs and athletic events, often on weekends.
- Communicate effectively with the team and complete accurate documentation daily.
- Assist the main doctor with various tasks and projects, ensuring safe patient care according to policies and standards.
- Promote professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements and supporting departmental goals.
- Assist the front desk team with administrative duties and meet performance goals.
Requirements
- CPR Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Background in health science, athletic training, personal training, group fitness training/coaching, nutrition, or as a Physical Therapy tech/assistant
- Competence with general anatomy
- Ability to work in a high-volume patient environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Graston (IASTM), KinesioTape/RockTape, Myofascial Release, and Functional Movement tests (training provided if not certified)
