About the position

DanceBUG Inc. is seeking passionate and skilled Videographers/Camera Operators to join our dynamic team for a seasonal position from February to June 2025. This role involves traveling nationwide across the U.S. to capture and stream dance competitions, recitals, and workshops. As a leader in Dance Media and Software, DanceBUG has been serving the dance community for nearly 25 years, providing innovative solutions such as 'Video Judge' and a comprehensive suite of software for Registration, Scheduling, Tabulation, and Streaming. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality video production and live streaming of various dance events. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and managing video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site. Daily video and audio tests will be conducted to ensure the highest quality of recordings. You will be tasked with recording and logging performances, managing live broadcasts, and uploading or shipping data as required. Communication with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts will be essential, and you will be expected to travel to events nationwide, making this a unique opportunity to engage with the dance community across the country.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site.
• Conduct daily video and audio tests to ensure quality.
• Record and log performances as well as manage the live broadcast.
• Upload and/or ship data as required.
• Communicate with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts weekly.
• Travel to events nationwide.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a Videographer/Camera Operator.
• Expertise in camera settings and audio management.
• Proficiency with Windows and basic editing software (DaVinci, Premiere a plus).
• Ability to manage data and work 'production' hours.
• Valid American Driver's License.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with loud music, flashing lights, and extended periods of stationary work.
• Must pass a Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector check.
