About the position

DanceBUG Inc. is seeking passionate and skilled Videographers/Camera Operators to join our dynamic team for a seasonal position. This role involves traveling nationwide to capture and stream dance competitions, recitals, and workshops. As a Videographer, you will be responsible for setting up and managing video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site, ensuring that all performances are recorded and broadcasted with the highest quality. You will conduct daily video and audio tests to ensure everything is functioning properly, and you will be required to log performances accurately while managing the live broadcast. Additionally, you will be responsible for uploading and/or shipping data as required, and maintaining regular communication with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts on a weekly basis. This position requires a commitment to travel to various events across the United States, making it essential for candidates to be flexible and ready for a dynamic work environment. DanceBUG, a trailblazer in Dance Media and Software, has been serving the dance community for nearly 25 years. We specialize in distributing and streaming dance media through our platform, DanceBUG.com, and are celebrated as the industry standard in Dance Videography and Photography. Our innovative products, such as “Video Judge” and a comprehensive suite of software for Registration, Scheduling, Tabulation, and Streaming, have made us a leader in the field. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in capturing the essence of dance performances and contributing to the vibrant dance community.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site.
  • Conduct daily video and audio tests to ensure quality.
  • Record and log performances as well as manage the live broadcast.
  • Upload and/or ship data as required.
  • Communicate with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts weekly.
  • Travel to events nationwide.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Videographer/Camera Operator.
  • Expertise in camera settings and audio management.
  • Proficiency with Windows and basic editing software (DaVinci, Premiere a plus).
  • Ability to manage data and work 'production' hours.
  • Valid American Driver's License.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with loud music, flashing lights, and extended periods of stationary work.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector check.
