About the position

DanceBUG Inc. is seeking passionate and skilled Videographers/Camera Operators to join our dynamic team for a seasonal position. This role involves traveling nationwide to capture and stream dance competitions, recitals, and workshops. As a Videographer/Camera Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and managing video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site, ensuring high-quality recordings and broadcasts. You will conduct daily video and audio tests to guarantee the best possible output, record and log performances, and manage live broadcasts. Additionally, you will be required to upload and/or ship data as necessary and maintain regular communication with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts on a weekly basis. This position requires extensive travel across the U.S. during the event season, which runs from February to June 2025. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dance media to our clients and audiences, contributing to the vibrant dance community we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site.
  • Conduct daily video and audio tests to ensure quality.
  • Record and log performances as well as manage the live broadcast.
  • Upload and/or ship data as required.
  • Communicate with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts weekly.
  • Travel to events nationwide.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Videographer/Camera Operator.
  • Expertise in camera settings and audio management.
  • Proficiency with Windows and basic editing software (DaVinci, Premiere a plus).
  • Ability to manage data and work 'production' hours.
  • Valid America Driver's License.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with loud music, flashing lights, and extended periods of stationary work.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector check.
