About the position

DanceBUG Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled Seasonal Videographer/Camera Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for capturing and streaming dance competitions, recitals, and workshops across the United States. As a leader in Dance Media and Software, DanceBUG has been serving the dance community for nearly 25 years, providing innovative solutions such as the 'Video Judge' and a comprehensive suite of software for Registration, Scheduling, Tabulation, and Streaming. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site, ensuring high-quality recordings and broadcasts of performances. The position requires extensive travel nationwide, with key responsibilities including conducting daily video and audio tests, recording and logging performances, managing live broadcasts, and communicating effectively with assigned Coaches, Managers, and Onsite Contacts. The role demands a strong understanding of camera settings and audio management, as well as proficiency with Windows and basic editing software. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, often under loud music and flashing lights, and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Training will take place in January and February, with workdays scheduled from late February through June 2025. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered, and a singular occupancy hotel room will be provided. Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage video, audio, and streaming equipment on-site.
  • Conduct daily video and audio tests to ensure quality.
  • Record and log performances as well as manage the live broadcast.
  • Upload and/or ship data as required.
  • Communicate with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts weekly.
  • Travel to events nationwide.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Videographer/Camera Operator.
  • Expertise in camera settings and audio management.
  • Proficiency with Windows and basic editing software (DaVinci, Premiere a plus).
  • Ability to manage data and work 'production' hours.
  • Valid American Driver's License.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with loud music, flashing lights, and extended periods of stationary work.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector check.
