About the position

810 Varsity is seeking individuals to live video stream high school sporting events in the Johnson County area, as well as other regions in Kansas and Missouri. This role involves being present at various sporting events, setting up video equipment, and ensuring a smooth live streaming experience for viewers. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of video technology and be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues as they arise. The position requires a commitment to being on-site at specific times, particularly on Friday nights and weekdays for games. Candidates will need to arrive at the venue an hour before the event starts and be live on-air 30 minutes prior to the game. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, primarily focused on weekends and selected weeknights.

Responsibilities

• Live video stream high school sporting events in the Johnson County area and other regions of Kansas and Missouri.
• Arrive at fields/schools at designated times for games, specifically 6 pm on Friday nights and 5 pm on weekdays.
• Set up video equipment and ensure proper connectivity before the event starts.
• Be live on-air 30 minutes before the start of each game.
• Troubleshoot any internet connectivity issues that may arise during the streaming process.

Requirements

• Knowledge of connecting to the internet via Ethernet or WiFi and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Ability to arrive at fields/schools at 6 pm on Friday nights and 5 pm on weekdays for games.
