About the position

The Spray Technician is responsible for the effective prevention and treatment of pests and diseases in commercial landscapes. This role involves performing fertilization, herbicide, and pest management treatments using approved spray equipment, ensuring safe handling of chemicals, and maintaining accurate records of treatments performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform fertilization, herbicide, and pest management treatments on turf using approved spray equipment.
• Calculate product and carrier quantities for application.
• Properly mix and apply plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various types of application equipment.
• Safely handle and use all chemicals involved in pest management.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial pesticide operator experience.
• Valid driver license issued by the state of employment.
• Pesticide License issued by the state of employment (preferred).
• Strong sense of customer service and urgency.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Organizational skills and flexibility.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule format.
