The Public Finance Intern will join the Special District Group (SDG) at Piper Sandler, focusing on raising capital for public infrastructure projects. This part-time internship, based in Denver, CO, offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in banking transactions and strategic growth activities within a collaborative team environment. The role is designed for MBA students who are eager to learn and contribute to the team's success while developing their professional skills.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of banking transactions.
- Learn the administrative aspects of the banking process from launch to close.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with SDG and Piper Sandler team members on a deal-by-deal basis.
- Provide relevant and valuable transaction information to support the development of financial models.
- Contribute to the strategic growth activities associated with prospective and engaged leads.
- Model SDG's organizational values and contribute to team culture.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a full-time MBA program with a graduation date in 2025 or 2026 preferred.
- Available to work in-person in downtown Denver offices.
- Strong organizational skills to navigate multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in digital software and technology, including databases and MS Office suite.
