About the position

The Kroger Spring Internship Program is designed to provide students with an immersive experience that fosters career growth through a variety of focused internship assignments. This program offers competitive pay, hands-on learning experiences, and exposure to senior leaders within the company, along with professional development opportunities. Interns will have the chance to lead projects, refine their professional skills, and work alongside industry leaders while connecting with other students from across the country. Interns in the Supply Chain and Manufacturing sectors will work within the Corporate Supply Chain team and various operational departments that comprise Kroger's supply chain. These departments include Human Resources, Operations, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Transportation, Maintenance, Safety, Inventory, Information Technology, and Store Operations. Throughout the internship, participants are expected to embody and demonstrate the company's core values, which include respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and a commitment to the safety of others. This internship is open to all majors, provided that applicants are actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university. It is essential for applicants to have work authorization that does not require future sponsorship for employment in the United States. The program is tailored for highly motivated students who are eager to take initiative in their work and possess strong leadership skills, enabling them to work effectively both in groups and independently. Accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are crucial for success in this role, as interns will be required to manage multiple priorities and respond positively to change.

Requirements

  • Open to all majors, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university
  • Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States
  • Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities between school, work, or extra-curricular activities
  • Responds to change as a positive challenge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Significant level of multi-tasking
