About the position
USD 111 Doniphan West Schools has an opening for a 9-12 science teacher at Doniphan West Jr./Sr. High School for the Spring 2025 semester or the 2025-2026 school year. This position is open until filled. Coaching and other supplemental positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Teach Biology I, Physical Science, Environmental Science, and Chemistry to students in grades 9-12.
- Create and implement lesson plans that meet the educational standards.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
- Must have a current Kansas Teaching License or be able to obtain one.
- Experience in teaching science subjects at the high school level is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in coaching or willingness to take on coaching responsibilities.
- Additional certifications in science education.
