About the position
The Spring Intern for User Experience Research at SiriusXM will assist the user experience research team in evaluating and improving customer applications and experiences. This part-time internship is designed for current students or recent graduates, providing an opportunity to engage in qualitative research methods and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that enhance product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute research using qualitative methods such as usability testing and interviews.
- Collect and analyze data, prepare research deliverables, and communicate insights to product teams.
- Work cross-functionally with Design, Content Strategy, and Product Management to understand business context and determine research questions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Design Research, Sociology, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field with an emphasis on research methods.
- Good project management and planning skills.
- Good personnel management skills.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
- Knowledge of human-subjects research methods, including usability testing and interviews.
- Knowledge of psychology, design, human-computer interaction, human factors, ergonomics, or related field.
- Familiarity with Google collaboration tools (Google docs, sheets, slides).
- Knowledge of the music streaming landscape.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
