About the position
The Mobile App Developer Co-op position at SharkNinja is designed for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in mobile application development and testing. This full-time, onsite role will involve collaboration with development and product teams to ensure the quality and functionality of mobile applications, focusing on identifying defects and executing test cases to maintain high software quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand mobile application requirements and functionalities.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts specifically for mobile applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing for mobile platforms.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and provide updates on testing progress.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Provide feedback on user interface and user experience to enhance overall application quality.
- Support the team in maintaining documentation related to testing procedures and results.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related program.
- Experience in mobile app testing and development is required.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Swift, Kotlin) and testing tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, JIRA) is a plus.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
