About the position

The SQA Test Analyst/QA Performance Tester will be responsible for software testing of new releases and upgrades to applications developed for the NCCRIS Project. This role involves collaboration with application development teams to conduct various testing activities including unit testing, system testing, component integration, system integration, regression, performance, and disaster recovery testing. The position is remote and is aimed at mid-level professionals with a strong background in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct software testing for new releases and upgrades to applications.
• Collaborate with application development teams on testing activities.
• Perform unit testing, system testing, component integration, system integration, regression, performance, and disaster recovery testing.
• Design test plans and execute test cases/scenarios.
• Develop testing documentation and results reports for applications tested.
• Manage defects and report findings effectively.
• Review requirements documentation and develop test case coverage for system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with VB scripting to create/modify code for test cases.
• Experience with defect management and reporting.
• Experience with software testing using OpenText ALM and UFT.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automated testing products such as Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience with Jira for project management and tracking.
• Experience with identifying and resolving automation issues and challenges.
