About the position

The SQL and SSRS Developer position at Optu Consulting is a full-time remote role specifically for Tennessee residents. The developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining custom reports and dashboards using SQL Reporting Services and Microsoft SQL. This role involves working closely with clients to gather requirements and deliver projects on time, contributing to the company's growth in application development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards for clients.
• Perform database development including schema, stored procedures, and views.
• Create datasets using custom T-SQL.
• Consult with clients to gather requirement specifications.
• Implement and maintain formal SQL coding processes, documentation, and standards.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL programming, database design, and query tuning.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (SSRS).
• 5+ years of experience with T-SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
