About the position

We are seeking an SQL Database Administrator/Developer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on designing, developing, modifying, implementing, and supporting software programming applications for our systems. The successful candidate will maintain the SQL Server database and its underlying programs and procedures, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support software both individually and as a team member.
• Analyze requests for new software or modifications to current applications, and communicate status to users.
• Thoroughly test new software and modifications before implementation.
• Train users and provide them with support on software and modifications.
• Assist other Business Systems Analysts in their duties when required.
• Maintain the SQL Server database to ensure smooth operations.
• Use skills in C#, .NET, WPF / Prism (MVVM), ASP.NET, Entity Framework, SQL Server Administration, SQL Server Reporting Services, TSQL, REST Services, Microsoft DevOps, and other Distributed Version Control software to enhance systems.
• Solve problems effectively, using excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with end-users and cross-divisional developers.
• Pay strong attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and MS SQL Server.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SQL Server.
• Experience in .NET and C Sharp Programming (C#).
• Familiarity with REST Services and DevOps methodologies.
• Proven experience in System Analysis.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Database.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach towards tasks and projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications or training in SQL Server database administration or development would be advantageous.
