About the position

The SQL Database Administrator position at TEKsystems involves providing essential support for the AFRL Rocket Lab's network and server infrastructure. The role focuses on day-to-day operations and maintenance within the Network Operations Center (NOC), ensuring the smooth functioning of database systems and related technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for day-to-day operations and maintenance within the NOC.
• Assist in the planning and upgrade of the NOC database.
• Install hardware, configure, and maintain NetApp appliances.
• Write complex queries for application on an RDT&E network.
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher.
• Develop and implement enterprise database backup, recovery, and failover procedures.
• Triage Network Operation Center level server tickets utilizing Web Help Desk.
• Serve as a liaison for database-related queries and technical support between NOC and customers.
• Provide basic level hardware, software, and network support and troubleshooting.
• Monitor network and storage devices utilizing Solar Winds Orion software.
• Maintain uninterruptible power supply (UPS) devices.
• Document technical details within the Web Help Desk ticket.

Requirements

• Active DoD Clearance Secret is required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience with SQL Server and database administration.
• Technical support and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of NetApp appliances.
• Experience with Solar Winds Orion software.
