SQL Database Administrator

About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite position in Little Rock, Arkansas, offering the opportunity to work on critical production and non-production databases.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade SQL Servers, applying necessary service packs
• Conduct routine database maintenance, including scheduling and performing tasks like rebuilding indexes and updating statistics
• Utilize SQL Server native tools for performance monitoring and optimization
• Manage SQL Server security, auditing, and encryption across environments
• Plan and manage capacity for storage and database objects
• Establish and execute database backup and recovery protocols
• Create and test Disaster Recovery plans
• Perform TSQL coding, tuning, and implement ETL methodologies
• Support SQL Server High Availability methods such as Mirroring and Always On

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in Senior SQL Database Administration
• 8 years of experience with SQL Server 2016 or later
• 6 years of Windows Server Administration experience
• Relevant certifications
• Availability for 24-hour support

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and application maintenance
• Familiarity with industry security standards such as PUB1075, FIPS, and PII
• Knowledge of cloud computing and storage solutions
• Skills in F5 and firewall administration
• Experience with SAN, RAID Controllers, and other storage devices
• Proficiency in Active Directory management
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
