About the position

The SQL Database Developer/Administrator role is focused on managing and optimizing SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data analysis through effective database design and reporting. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in SQL Server technologies and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote work with occasional on-site presence in Miami, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and relationships based on business requirements.
  • Design and implement data models to organize and structure data effectively.
  • Write SQL queries to insert, update, delete, and retrieve data from the database.
  • Migrate data from one database to another, often during deployments.
  • Analyze query performance and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations.
  • Write SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases.
  • Develop dashboards that gather data from various sources, such as relational databases, spreadsheets, and APIs, to facilitate analysis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience with ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Proficiency in MS Visual Studio SSDT Tools, SSMS, E/R Studio, Stylus Studio, Microsoft PowerBI.
