About the position

As a SQL Database Developer and Administrator at Booz Allen, you will leverage your exceptional people skills and technical expertise to become a vital member of our team, addressing complex database challenges. In this position, you will develop database structures, input forms, and reports for various applications, including a contact directory and staff request forms. Your contributions will directly impact critical Department of Defense clients and missions, enabling a secure data strategy and supporting the infrastructure and tools necessary for data access, storage, and analysis. You will work collaboratively with your team to enhance database technology, facilitating decision support and emergency operations management. Responsibilities

  • Manage and secure complex Microsoft SQL database instances in a classified environment.
  • Define and oversee database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment.
  • Advise on data-based solutions to business problems and the operation and tuning of databases.
  • Optimize database information and server for network performance, including replication and access during network failover.
  • Ensure database security and compliance with risk management framework and NIST FIPS guidelines.
  • Develop database structures, input forms, and reports for applications such as contact directories and staff request forms.
  • Support critical Department of Defense clients and missions by enabling a secure data strategy.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in database development.
  • Experience with C# programming.
  • Experience in determining and defining client database requirements.
  • Experience in developing job aids and guides.
  • Knowledge of the development of database structures, including input forms and reports.
  • Ability to write SQL statements with server-side programming.
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAC) Level 1 Professional Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Servers.
  • Experience with server failover clusters.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Manager Studio and Windows Server Manager.
  • TS/SCI clearance preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
